Electronic devices are any electronic devices such as phones, computers, computer monitors, routers, fax machines, printers, plotters, or any equipment that has any electronics incorporated for its functions. Many electronics contain precious metals, such as gold, silver, copper, platinum, zinc, and palladium, that can be recovered and reused. Most electronic components possess toxic elements, including lead, beryllium, polyvinyl chloride, and mercury. All these materials are extremely toxic to the environment and humans.
Electronics devices as you notice has a short life span, new models comes and go, or they do not work as expected any more, the new models displace the old model or you do not get more pieces to get it working, or the repairs are more costly than getting a new one. This happens every day. You have to decide what to do, maybe you can re-used your old phone, giving it to your young child until he/she can take care of them, do not lose them and them with time can give them a new one. That will expand the life span of that electronic device or keep a spare just in case yours get damage, you can used your old one, until can be replaced it. Also applies to any equipment you are using, many its not useful for you but can be useful for any other person, if it is in working condition. Even for a short time, but that will help not to accumulate such e-waste or e-scrap in our land fields.
